Job Description
In modern cars the driver always needs to be informed about the "health" of the vehicle. This is why we constantly endeavoring to develop complex instrument clusters. Our clusters always cooperate with the driver, displaying the actual status of the car. Additional information like navigation information, radio and user settings are displayed on the central information display, developed by us too. One of the newest technologies is the fade in of information's on the windshield with the Head-up Display.
The Hardware Team Leader is the person responsible for hardware development and hardware support after delivery. He manages a hardware team and is involved with the Hardware Group Leader for the developer’s annual evaluation
- The Hardware Team Leader is responsible for the human resources management within the team, the costs, the schedule and the quality of the hardware development
- Manages the tasks or workpackages in accordance with the customer needs and the specifications given, from request analysis to delivery of the results
- Insures technical management and support about the common and specific HW development process of the tasks for which he is responsible
- Is the interface for new external technical requests about known tasks
- Plans the technical development of the task with agreement of the Group Leader
- Supervises the work of HW Engineers, takes corrective actions
- Participates in project meetings (Project Leader, customer) as a team member
- Performes development tasks as HW Engineer to support the team
A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.
Job Requirements Description
- University Degree in Electronics, Electrotechnics, Telecommunications
- Minimum of two years of professional experience in analog electronic design, microcontroller based design and poject management in a technical domain
- Experience managing a project including contact to suppliers
- Knowledge of the typical HW modules within an ECU (Electronic Control Unit) and whose functionality
- Knowledge of the interfaces between HW and SW
- Fluent English and/or German
- Skills in automotive development are advantageous
- Automotive experience is an advantage
