Embedded Software Developer for Body Controller Applications in the Car
Department Description and Location
For our Engineering Location Timisoara we search for dynamic and motivated people to join our Body & Security department.
The specialists in our Interior Division work passionately to keep drivers and passengers informed of their vehicles’ status – and in touch with the world outside – at all times. They develop and produce a wide range of intelligent, user-friendly products for private and commercial vehicles (factory and after sales markets), including instruments and displays, cockpit modules, audio and navigation devices, multimedia and telematics solutions, and control, steering and access protection systems.
Job Description
The software developers in our group develop applications existing in most of the vehicles and their variants. Embedded software for alarm, central door locking, interior and exterior light (with or without PWM), wiper and washer, inter-ECU communication software, diagnosis, load management are our main applications we develop for different car manufacturers.
The applications we develop have a code size from some Kbytes up to some tens of KBytes depending on the requirements complexity to be implemented. In some projects we use model based development technologies with C code generation and automatic SW module testing. We develop software within a project team for embedded systems according to the valid processes and methods from the department.
We expect that the software developer should be able to analyze and understand customer requirements of an application, to synthesize a software solution, coding it and testing it first on the PC, then on the microcontroller target system, delivering it to the project for integration.
A mentor will support you to stepwise take over own responsibility after an initial training phase which will familiarize you with our products, tools, processes and organization.
Job Requirements Description
- University Degree (i.e. Electronics, Computer Science, Physics, Informatics, ...);
- Very good C programming know-how;
- General HW knowledge;
- Software architecture and design experience is an advantage;
- Embedded systems knowledge and experience is an advantage;
- Model based SW development knowledge with code generation is an advantage;
- English – speaking and writing level.
